Synth Stuff Ep. 75 - Seiko DS-250

Описание к видео Synth Stuff Ep. 75 - Seiko DS-250

Check out this weird and rare synth from 1985. The Seiko DS-250 uses digital/additive synthesis and it reminds me of something like an ESQ-1 or PPG (though, obviously not as good) but it has a charm to it. Even more rare are the DS-310 synthesizer and DS-320 sequencer modules that were also made available which attach to this thing. To my knowledge, the DS--202 is the only other keyboard Seiko made. Again, there's a charm about this thing that I can't quite put my finger on...it's just a weird specimen. Send it through effects like I did (using a TC M350) and you can get some usable stuff out of it and I'll be the expansion modules are fun...if you can find them. Sounds like an epic quest waiting to begin. Google a picture of one full expanded, it looks cool!
