Troy, NY's, The Strange Neighbors are fusing stacks of vocal harmonies with a unique rock instrumentation in this latest episode of Sessions at Overit.

The members of The Strange Neighbors have been playing music, combined, for over four decades. It’s the collective knowledge of that experience that has enabled them to bring their sound together.

That sound brewed in a basement, secretly making a record. During that time the members stepped out of their traditional musical roles to see where a lack of comfort would take them. The result was “Esperance” an organic roots rock record.

That is the sound that has been described as “new-old alternative rock” .

With a unique lineup of instruments the band is:

Ryan Quackenbush on mandola, mandolin and guitar, Sean Ireland on guitar, Bill Frank on bass and bouzouki, and Tim Brosnan on drums


This is a band that knows how to play together, that listens, and aims high. The songs are thoughtful and well-crafted, and they’re very invested in the playing.
