The J-10B fighter jets of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force are preparing for their debut at the upcoming "Aviadarts" competition event at the 2017 International Army Games (IAG).

The PLA Air Force will host two events of "Aviadarts" and "Airborne Platoon" from July 29 to August 12. It will be the first time for J-10B fighter jets to participate in "Aviadarts".

During a recent training for "Aviadarts", several J-10B fighter jets took off from an airport in northeast China and carried out scout and accurate attacks against targets 100 kilometers away.

"One feature of J-10B fighter jets is that they have stronger air-to-ground attacking ability. They are excellent fighter aircraft, and can also be used as strike aircraft, because they are equipped with several types of advanced air-to-ground precision guided weapons," said Zhang Lei, a pilot of the PLA Air Force.

The IAG is an international military event hosted by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Chinese military will participate in the IAG for the fourth consecutive year this year.
