Epic does not even begin to describe this hike. Many talk about getting to Arches very early or after dinner and I agree. The video starts with our stop at the visitor center after our Devil's Garden Hike and shows the line to get in. When we came back the next day at about 6:30 we got right in with no line or wait. We stopped at the Windows area to see Double Arch and while I wish we would have had more time there it was still perfect and my favorite arch for scale. Our plan was to do Delicate Arch at sunset and we definitely did it, while we didn't make it to the top by actual sunset we continued to see the setting sun through out the hike and got the to payoff at the perfect time with all the colors. If you can only do 1 day in Arches this is what I would do. It was so magical to turn the corner and come to the arch. While yes there were a lot of people it didn't take away from the experience. We did not try to go closer to the arch both because of the steepness and the crowd which worked for us. We brought our medals from the Utah Race and took our amazing state picture. The hike down was totally different in experiences because you got to see everything turn dark and be surrounded by stars that were unlike anything I have ever seen. Bring that head lamp and lot of water, take it slow and cherish the journey!
