Guided Meditation for People in Recovery

Meditation Series 002: Continue the Path

“Continue the Path” is the second guided meditation in the Formerly Intoxicated Meditation Series, created for people in recovery who are choosing steadiness, rest, and commitment to the journey—one day at a time.

Facilitated by Erik Miller, trauma-informed care coach, this session supports nervous system regulation, emotional grounding, and restorative sleep. Rather than pushing forward or striving for change, this meditation gently reinforces what’s already true: you are on the path, and continuing is enough.

This practice offers space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and reaffirm safety, presence, and intention—without pressure or expectation.

This meditation may help with:
• Calming the nervous system
• Reducing anxiety and mental noise
• Supporting deeper, more restful sleep
• Reinforcing consistency in recovery
• Building safety and awareness in the body

We recommend listening in a quiet, comfortable space—lying down or seated—and allowing your breath to guide you naturally into rest.

About the Facilitator
Erik Miller is a trauma-informed weightlifti by coach who works with individuals in recovery, re-entry, and personal restoration. His approach emphasizes safety, regulation, and sustainable healing practices.
