In this episode, we explore Shimla — the Queen of Hills — in its most beautiful form, during the rain. From mist-covered roads to lush green hills and golden sunsets, this vlog captures the real essence of Shimla.

We begin our journey amidst the monsoon clouds and head towards Chadwick Falls, one of Shimla’s hidden natural wonders, located deep inside the Glen Forest. The short 600-meter trail through the dense greenery offers a refreshing experience and ends with the breathtaking sight of the waterfall in full flow.

Next, we visit the historic Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Niwas) — once the summer residence of the British Viceroy. Its Scottish-style architecture, colonial charm, and rich history make it one of the most iconic heritage sites in Shimla.
Just opposite the lodge, we explore the Bird Park, a small yet unique spot where visitors walk inside the cage while the colorful birds fly freely around — a truly rare experience in the hills.

After that, we drive to Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located at Shimla’s highest point. The last 500 meters of the road are steep and challenging — a real test for both vehicle and driver — but the view and the divine aura at the top are worth every bit of it. The temple is home to a 108-ft tall Hanuman statue, visible from almost every corner of Shimla.

As evening falls, we head to the heart of the city — Mall Road and The Ridge. Vehicles are banned here to preserve its colonial charm, so you can stroll freely through the heritage buildings, cafés, and shops while soaking in the stunning golden sunset view.

We also visit the historic Scandal Point, known for its fascinating British-era love story, before exploring Lakkar Bazaar, famous for its handcrafted wooden souvenirs and local artistry.
Finally, we end the day at Lower Bazaar, the oldest market of Shimla, known for its authentic Himachali vibe, local shops, and food joints that bring out the city’s true spirit.

Shimla in the rains truly feels like a wonderland — misty clouds, pine forests, heritage architecture, and mountain charm all coming together. 🌧️🏔️
