Raw Footage of Rural China: Colourful Town Filled with Music

Filmed in the province of Guizhou, China.
August 2023.

We were surprised by this little town in the middle of lush mountains in Guizhou, China. It welcomed us with music, colours and joyful people.
First we came across an elderly couple, who wanted to perform a little Chinese melody for us. The husband playing the Erhu turned out to be a retired Physics Professor. The next group of musicians we encountered were three friends who were traveling across China, while happily sharing their passion together and playing their music for strangers. They drew in lots of people of all ages, and their performance resulted in sweet grannies dancing together in the middle of the street.
