Midway through the season at round 3, we faced the most demanding challenge yet - a grueling 12-lap endurance race at Sepang. Starting strong from P3 in qualifying, I battled fiercely in the scorching heat, ultimately finishing in P7. The extreme conditions pushed my rear tire to its limits, leading to unsettling slides as early as lap 4, necessitating constant adjustments to the traction control to keep myself staying on the bike.

The focus on managing rear tire wear emerged as a crucial topic. With each lap, the diminishing grip made navigating the track feel like skating on ice, especially in the high-speed corners.

Had a heart-stopping moment unfolded in the final two laps at T5, as I was attacking. A near-disastrous slide loomed, but thanks to the timely intervention of the traction control system, disaster was averted. Following this incident, lost 4 position, I exerted immense effort to maneuver my body weight while maintaining a higher lean angle through every twist and turn.

Out of 34 racers, only 24 crossed the finish line, with a staggering 10 DNF. This race was a stark reminder of the relentless nature of the sport, underscoring the need for peak physical and mental resilience to overcome its formidable challenges.
