The Blob was released in 1988, directed by Chuck Russell. When a meteor crash lands on Earth, the small town of Arborville is danger when a gelatinous specimen starts devouring everything in its path. The problem is that it grows with everything it consumes, so the citizens must put a stop to it before it consumes the entire planet.
