HOMOGENOUS CATALYSIS
Catalysis is the ability of some species to rapidly speed up the rate at which a chemical reaction proceeds. Homogeneous catalysis is concerned with catalysts that are in the same phase as the chemical reactions they are speeding up. These reactions are normally in the liquid phase and include all of biology's enzymes.
The process in which catalyst and the reactants are in the same phase and the reacting system is homogenous throughout is called Homogeneous catalysis.”

In homogeneous catalysis, all the reactants and catalysts are present in a single fluid phase and usually in the Solid phase and gas phase. Homogeneous catalysts are the simple molecules or ions such as HF, H2SO4, Mn+2 as well as complex molecules such as organometallic complexes, macrocyclic compounds and large enzyme molecules.
