When customers choose prepainted galvanized steel coil, they always have some questions about the quality of the product. How long is the service life of prepainted galvanized steel coil? What is the degree of deformation during use?

In fact, the service life, durability, corrosion resistance, and use of prepainted galvanized steel coil are all important factors that factories need to consider when selecting materials. The choice of prepainted galvanized steel coil refers to the type of substrate, mechanical properties, coating weight, and the performance of the coating on the front and back.

During the production process of prepainted galvanized steel coil, there is no chance to cut off the defective part. Therefore, in the industry, the defective part is allowed to be delivered as long as it does not exceed 5% of the total length of each roll. Therefore, in the selection of substrates, Jianhui Steel Factory will reasonably select substrates to not only meet the customer's use requirements, but also minimize the cost of the substrate. Effectively avoid product degradation or unusable situations.

Then in the selection of coating thickness, we need to understand that the coating structure is divided into two coatings and one baking and two coatings and two baking. In general, the coating thickness is 20-25u on the surface of prepainted galvanized steel coil and 8-10u on the back. The surface of prepainted galvanized steel coil for building exterior should not be less than 20u, and the back should not be less than 10u.

There are several choices of coatings:
1. Polyester (PE):
Good adhesion, wide range in formability and outdoor durability, and medium chemical resistance.
2. Silicone modified polyester (SMP):
The coating has good hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance, as well as good exterior durability and anti-powdering, limited gloss retention and flexibility.
3. High weathering polyester (HDP):
Excellent UV resistance, high durability, and its main performance is between polyester and fluorocarbon.
4. Polyvinylidene fluoride-fluorocarbon (PVDF):
It has good formability and color retention, excellent outdoor durability and anti-powdering, solvent resistance, but limited color.
