Описание к видео How to Create a Realistic Rolling Ball Movement in Unity 3D | Smooth Maze Ball Movement in Unity

Welcome to my latest Unity 3D game development video, where I showcase a realistic rolling ball movement system using Rigidbody physics. 🏀🚀

This movement system is perfect for maze ball games, marble physics games, and rolling ball challenges. I used Rigidbody.AddTorque() for smooth and realistic movement, fixed common issues like sliding and stopping, and optimized the physics to feel natural!

If you're a Unity beginner or an indie game developer, this tutorial will help you understand how to create physics-based movement for a rolling ball.

🔹 What You’ll Learn in This Video:
✅ How to make a ball roll smoothly using Rigidbody
✅ How to stop sliding and make movement feel real
✅ Best Rigidbody settings for smooth physics-based movement
✅ How to use AddTorque() for natural rolling physics
✅ How to prevent the ball from spinning forever & apply friction
✅ How to limit speed & prevent uncontrollable movement
✅ Why -moveX is used in Vector3 torque = new Vector3(moveZ, 0, -moveX)

🔥 This movement system is great for:
✔️ 3D Maze Games 🎭
✔️ Marble Madness-style Games 🏀
✔️ Super Monkey Ball-like Physics 🌀
✔️ Tilt-based Puzzle Games 🔄
✔️ Rolling Ball Games in Unity 3D 🎮

Unity Rigidbody Settings for Best Ball Physics
If you’re struggling with sliding issues or uncontrollable movement, use these settings:

Rigidbody Settings (Best for Ball Rolling Physics)

Mass: 1
Drag: 1.5f (Helps reduce endless sliding)
Angular Drag: 2.5f (Stops rolling gradually)
Use Gravity: ✅ (Enables natural rolling physics)
Interpolate: Interpolate (Fixes jittery movement)
Collision Detection: Continuous (Prevents clipping through walls)

📌 Common Issues & Fixes
💡 Q1: My ball keeps sliding and won’t stop.
✔️ Increase drag and angularDrag on Rigidbody.
✔️ Add Physics Material with low friction to your sphere.

💡 Q2: The ball is moving too fast and feels out of control.
✔️ Use Vector3.ClampMagnitude(rb.velocity, maxSpeed); to limit speed.
✔️ Reduce the torqueForce value to slow down the rolling speed.

💡 Q3: The ball is not rolling in the right direction.
✔️ Make sure to use Vector3 torque = new Vector3(moveZ, 0, -moveX); to correct movement.
