Welcome to Fest O’ Theatre 2026, the inaugural South Asian Theater Festival in North Texas.

For years, DFW Play has been committed to bringing high-caliber storytelling to our community. Building on years of championing Bengali theatre in North Texas, the festival now expands to embrace multiple South Asian languages and performance traditions. This new chapter celebrates the richness of South Asian storytelling through a curated lineup of productions that span genres, styles, and perspectives. We are proud to usher in a New Era of South Asian Theater.

What is Fest O’ Theatre? It is a 6-hour immersion into the highest caliber of Indian stagecraft. One ticket grants you access to all powerhouse main-stage productions, experimental shorts, dance ensembles, and a vibrant community atmosphere.

The 2026 Headliners:
1️⃣ KOHRA by Utpal Dutt (KrossRoads Performing Arts, Boston) – A haunting, high-tension suspense thriller.
2️⃣ ADHE ADHURE by Mohan Rakesh (DFW Play, Dallas) – The raw, modern masterpiece of Hindi drama.
3️⃣ FIVE GRAINS OF RICE (Ebong Theatrix, DC) – An award-winning, contemporary psychological drama.

Coming Soon: The festival experience expands beyond the main productions. We will soon be announcing multilingual mini-plays, experimental shorts, and vibrant dance ensembles that will weave through the day, making this a non-stop celebration of creativity.
