HOPE vs WISH
HOPE is to desire something good or positive in the future.
HOPE is often used to talk about future events, situations, or actions in general.
HOPE can be used to talk about something that recently happened and will be decided in the future.
HOPE is often used to talk about future events, situations, or actions in general.

Examples:
I hope you have a great trip.
We hope you have a safe journey to United States.
I hope you love Cambodia.
I hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow.
I hope I pass the test.
HOPE can be used to talk about something that recently happened and will be decided in the future.
Examples:
I hope you passed your test.
I hope I got the job.
WISH – is used (2) to desire something that is impossible or not likely to happen (1) to wish someone in special events or major event such as holidays, wedding, graduation, birthday, anniversary, New Year, Christmas…….)

Examples:
I wish you a Merry Christmas!
I wish you a happy Pchum Ben.
I wish you the best.

(2) to desire something that is impossible or not likely to happen
I wish I had studied harder for the test. (I didn’t study for the test, and now I regret it.)
I wish I hadn’t said. (I said something stupid, and now I regret it.)
I wish I were taller.
I wish I had a bigger house.
I wish I didn’t have final exam tomorrow.
