Why SMT Strange Journey is a HORROR Game

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is a cosmic horror video game. Turn-based games have often been considered to never have the possibility to be a horror game, but I disagree. I feel SMT Strange Journey takes the story inspirations from classics such as At The Mountains of Madness and Who Goes There? and makes its own distinct mark on the horror genre. But how about you?
