Chum chum Recipe

Ingredients to make chum chum
1 litre full cream milk
3 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp maida


Ingredients to make sugar syrup
1cup white sugar
4 cup water
1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Ingredients to make chum chum filling
1 tsp ghee
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup milk powder
1 tbsp white sugar
1/4 tsp turmeric powder/ food colour/ few saffron strands.

Ingredients to garnish
4 tbsp desicated coconut powder
Few Cherry pieces



Method to make sugar syrup
-add 1 cup white sugar,four cup water,1/4 tsp Cardamom powder and boil till sugar dissolves
Sugar syrup ready!.

Method to make chum chum filling

heat 1 tsp ghee,1/4 cup milk,1/2 cup milk powder ,1 tbsp white sugar ,mix well in a pan.
let the heat be low,combine all ingredients to make thick paste
chum chum filling ready!



Method to make chum chum
-Panner
Boil milk ,add 3 tbsp vinegar
milk curdles ,filter using muslin cloth
hang cloth for 20 min,panner is ready.
crush panner ,add maida,knead for 5 minutes.
make oval shape from mixture,add to boiling sugar syrup,cover and allow to cook for 15 minutes.
flip occasionally.
after 15 minutes, transfer to a sieve ,allow to cool.
-slit center,fill prepared filling,roll on desicated coconut powder, garnish with cherry or jelly
Chum chum ready!
