Ferrari California T - On February 12, 2014, a new improved version was unveiled on the web called the Ferrari California T . The official Ferrari California T world launch at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show (March 6-16). The T in the Ferrari California T moniker standing for Turbo, which has been absent since the Ferrari F40. The Ferrari California T utilizes a new 3.8 liter bi-turbo V8 that produces 552 bhp @ 7,500rpm and 557 lbs/torque @ 4,750rpm as well as an improved Ferrari California T 7 speed dual clutch gear box, a revised magnaride' adaptive suspension, as well as a new Ferrari F1 trac system. As a result, the Ferrari California GDI V8 engine delivers 490 PS (360 kW; 480 hp) and an additional 15 N·m (11 lbf·ft) of torque at 5,000 rpm. The Ferrari California acceleration reduced its 0--100 km/h time from 3.9 seconds to 3.8. The new Ferrari California is also the first to receive the Handling Speciale Package, which includes Delphi MagneRide magnetorheological dampers which increase the steering response by 10% along with stiffer springs and a faster ECU with 50% faster response time. The Ferrari California package also minimises body roll and increases the response of driver inputs. The Ferrari California was released at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show as a 2012 Ferrari California model in Europe and as a 2013 Ferrari California model year for the US.

The resulting 80 kW (107 bhp) per litre of engine displacement is one of the highest for a naturally aspirated engine, as other manufacturers have used supercharging or turbocharging to reach similar power levels.[6] It is considered likely that the next version of the Ferrari California will be turbocharged.
