Many water cooled heat pumps and air conditioning systems use coaxial coils as a method of heat transfer. A coax, for short, can be used as either the condenser or the evaporator in a heat pump system. Building heat pump loops are usually kept at approximately 80 degree F. Water cooled air conditioning and refrigeration systems also use coaxial coils.
