Thirteen years ago tonight, the Dallas Sidekicks ended the San Diego Sockers 48-match unbeaten streak which still stands as the longest winning streak in U.S. professional soccer.

Tonight, John and Dylan take a look back at that streak, as well as some other winning streaks, in our This Week in San Diego Soccer History segment.

First, we'll kick off the show with a look at some of the news stories from the week and then, after our main segment, we'll offer some suggestions for getting out and watching some local soccer.

PROGRAMMING NOTE
We are winding down our work here on the LGS Pod over the next month or so as we transition everything over to focus on our new project, the San Diego Soccer History Society. Taking the place of the LGS Pod will be a new weekly show called, "This Week in San Diego Soccer History."

During this transition time, the format of the LGS Pod will begin to shift more in line with new show. Expect the official launch of the This Week in San Diego Soccer History podcast sometime in March.
