After we sailed overnight the 55 nautical miles (102 km) to Lady Musgrave Island.. the southern gateway to the Australian Great Barrier Reef, we were greeted at sunrise by a pod of dolphins. This island and its 3000 acres of surrounding coral reef, has been on our families bucket list for years.. and after deserting ourselves here for 12 days, it didn’t disappoint! We explore the island, snorkel the reef, and Shane encounters some very cheeky Sharks who were keen to steal our dinner!

Soraya is a 30 foot Sparkman and Stephens 30 monohull. Our family of 3 have made her our off grid tiny home to explore the Queensland Coast and Great Barrier Reef.
