CNC Training at Saunders Machine Works: My Experience

This past spring I took several beginner CNC machining classes at Saunders Machine Works (SMW) in Zanesville, Ohio. Over the course of a week, we learned Fusion 360 (CAD and CAM software) and then got experience actually running parts on Tormach personal CNC machines. Spoiler Alert: The class provided incredible value for me, as it allowed me to start producing quality CNC-machined parts in no time. In this video I share my experience with the trainings, what I've been able to do with CNC in the short time since taking the classes, and why I think CNC in general needs to be demystified—it's really not as complicated as some folks make it out to be!
