NOTE: I have made exceptions to the No Sphere Grid rule for "Flee" and "Bribe". The former is to quickly escape from unwanted battles and has no effect on any battle shown. "Bribe" is used to gather items quickly, and likewise, has no effect on any battle shown.

Equipment:
All characters weapons: First Strike, Evade & Counter, Alchemy, Triple Overdrive (only First Strike is relevant and only Yuna needs it)
All characters armours: Auto-Haste, Auto-Phoenix, Auto-Regen, Ribbon (armour is irrelevant)

Strategy:
He's impossible. His counterattack deals too much damage for even the best Auron Tank to survive. Even if it didn't, no way you'd get everyone back in time reliably enough to Hyper Mighty G before Rainbow.

The only offence you have that won't trigger it is Lulu's spells, and even then, you have to reflect them off someone. Unless you have an Auto-Reflect armour, this means constantly putting Reflect on again every time someone dies. This works until Th'uban's 11th turn, by which, if you're lucky, you'll have inflicted maybe 50,000 damage on him. And then what? He casts Regen on himself, healing MUCH faster than you can dish it out.

Sorry to say this, but he's impossible - and unlike Ironclad, Ultima Buster and Nemesis which could theoretically be beaten with absolutely perfect luck for thousands of enemy turns, Th'uban is LITERALLY impossible. Even with perfect luck you won't be beating him.

So, you're just going to have to break the rules again. Magus Sisters can easily take him out before his second turn.
