San Carlos, Panama

Описание к видео San Carlos, Panama

We've been back in Panama three weeks, and we're still at the Vista Mar marina. We ordered everything we need to give Miette a lithium make-over, but the country has erupted in protests over a Canadian mining contract, and highways are blockaded by protesters.

In order to get shipments here, we are using a courier service that provides a US address in Miami. That service then gets them to Panama City, and from there, to Coronado, the town nearest us. But it's been a slow trickle receiving anything.

While we're here, the village of San Carlos is a 30-minute walk. There's not much there but 4 or 5 nearly identically-stocked Chinese-owned mini-marts.

This video follows such a walk, ending with an ice-cream treat at the bakery.
