My opinion:
I remember playing the first game, the pixel art and story really did stand out a lot at that time. Curse of Asmodeus is... Decent. I enjoyed playing it, but puzzles lack explanation a few times, and the hints are always vague.

The slot machine is a good example. The guy says to hit them, so you would think you need to hit before playing it, not when you're playing. The ending feels... Strange in a way. It just feels weird that they hate Asmodeus, but they still bother talking to his minion lol. All that aside, this was a enjoyable experience.

There was a copyright claim for a cave ambiance, so that's why some parts are muted, sorry about that.
