This Sunday I'm thankful that I serve a God of justice. I wrote this song during a season where I had so much anger that I somehow couldn't shake. And I'm someone who legitimately feels uncomfortable being angry. So I decided to write myself a reminder, an anthem, something to remind me that heaven knows my story, that God grieves racism, that Black Lives do matter, that God hates the fact that some people in the world are called 'minor' while others enjoy the luxury of majority, that the weight of anger is never something I need to carry on my own, that God is 100% strong enough to carry the weight for me. He can take it on Himself and still be able to love. Today I'm thankful that He is God and I am not. Lyrics below.
