Today we ride a leisurely 11 km with my tribe along one of our favourite tracks, the Burramoko Firetrail to Hanging Rock (Blue Mountains National Park). This is an easy green rated trail suitable for most users. For the most part, the track offers a gently undulating ride, although there are some steep hills that will get you spinning. It's a multi user trail through the National Park, so you might encounter walkers, runners or other mtb'ers depending on the time of day you go - share the track, slow down and yield to pedestrians if they are about.

At the end of the trail you are greeted by some very short single track to Burramoko Head and Baltzer Lookout, with dizzying views down the 200 metre high cliffline into the Grose Valley far below. Head left (west) to follow the very rough foot track down approximately 300 metres to the detached block of sandstone cliffline known as Hanging Rock. We didn't check this feature out today and if you plan to, you may want to lock your bike while you take the walk down.
