Despite continued official denials by the military that Bobi Wine is being hunted, these statements have been publicly contradicted by the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, whose social media posts have repeatedly issued warnings and threats directed at Bobi Wine.

At the same time, there remains a heavy military presence at Bobi Wine’s residence, with access to the premises tightly restricted. Several individuals have been denied entry, including members of his own family. As recently as yesterday, Bobi Wine’s siblings were prevented from accessing the home, with security personnel citing the need for authorization from unnamed superiors.

These developments have raised growing public concern and speculation. Many are now questioning whether the country is witnessing the early stages of Bobi Wine’s potential move into exile. This uncertainty has been further fueled by his recent social media posts and video messages, in which he states that he will reappear when he decides to do so—a statement that leaves unanswered the critical question of when that moment will come.
