1966 Austin Mini Cooper Mark 1

Just arrived in stock RJH Cars have this beautiful example of the MK1 Austin Mini Cooper finished in stunning Island Blue with original factory contrast roof in Old English White. We have in the office a file showing the restoration that took place in 1994 and the car has had little use since then and is still in superb condition. The interior trim is very original with the Cumulas Grey & Gold as it left the factory. According to the records we have the car was built on the 4th July and dispatched to Taunton Motor Company on the 6th July. The car was clearly destined for a customer as just over 10 days later it was registered. I am lead to believe that the Old English White roof is quite unusual but really suits the car. From what we can see of the restoration information the sunroof was a very early addition and certainly was in place during the restoration work, personally i like it and think it suits the car really well. We are in the process of looking for a period steering wheel to replace the one currently fitted to the car which should really finish of the beautiful interior.

The Heritage Certificate we have confirms the car is correct in both Interior and Exterior colours as it left the factory and has matching Chassis & Engine numbers as supplied from new. The car was always a UK destined car and had the option of the fresh air heater from new.

Due to its age, the car is MOT is exempt however here at RJH Cars what we like to do with our classics is to give them a good inspection and ensure they meet current MOT standards so prior to delivery it will have been through an independent garage and had a MOT, Service and Health Check, this way know it is the best that we can sell. This car qualifies as a Historic Vehicle and be exempt from Road Tax.
