Interview with Margo Farnsworth, author of the forthcoming book from Routledge press: Biomimicry and Business: How Companies are Using Nature’s Strategies to Succeed

Nature inspires us in many ways. One of the outcomes of this inspiration is biomimicry—the imitation of the forms, processes, and systems of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems.

In her forthcoming book, Missouri-native author Margo Farnsworth explores how businesses are tapping into the design and function of nature to create new products, services, and jobs that improve life for all. Join Missouri Prairie Foundation Executive Director Carol Davit during this interview with Farnsworth, and learn from Farnsworth about the fascinating world of biomimicry, and how it relates to the protection of Missouri's prairies and native biodiversity.

Farnsworth is a past board member of the Missouri Prairie Foundation and an advisor to its Grow Native! program. She has worked as an adjunct faculty member for Lipscomb University’s Institute of Sustainability and serves as a Board Member for the Biomimicry Institute’s Education Advisory Board. She and her husband live in the greater Kansas City area.
