In this lecture, we are joined by Dr. Thomas Wisniewski, MD from NYU School of Medicine as he reviews the neuropathology of Alzheimer's disease (AD), along with a discussion of current treatments in development. The effects of hemodialysis on AD biomarkers and pathology will be discussed. In addition, there will be a discussion of the recent results of the AMBAR phase 2b/3 clinical trial of plasma exchange with albumin replacement as a treatment for AD.
