केंद्र सरकार ने पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी की ओर से प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को लिखी गई दूसरी चिट्ठी का जवाब दे दिया है। इस बार भी जवाब महिला और बाल विकास मंत्री अन्नपूर्णा देवी की तरफ से ही दिया गया है। लेटर में लिखा गया है कि फास्ट ट्रैक स्पेशल कोर्ट विशेष रूप से रेप और POCSO अधिनियम के मामलों से निपटने के लिए बना है । पश्चिम बंगाल में 48,600 बलात्कार और POCSO मामलों के लंबित होने के बावजूद, राज्य ने अतिरिक्त 11 फास्ट ट्रैक स्पेशल कोर्ट को चालू नहीं किया है । केंद्र सरकार ने कहा है कि POCSO के पेंडिंग केस को लेकर ममता सरकार कोई कदम नहीं उठा रही है। कोलकाता रेप-मर्डर केस को लेकर ममता बनर्जी ने गुरुवार को प्रधानमंत्री मोदी को 8 दिन में दूसरी चिट्ठी लिखी थी।

The Central Government has responded to the second letter written by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time too the answer has been given by Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi. It is written in the letter that the Fast Track Special Court has been formed specifically to deal with cases of rape and POCSO Act. Despite the pendency of 48,600 rape and POCSO cases in West Bengal, the state has not operationalized additional 11 fast track special courts. The Central Government has said that Mamata Government is not taking any steps regarding the pending case of POCSO. Mamata Banerjee on Thursday wrote the second letter in 8 days to Prime Minister Modi regarding the Kolkata rape-murder case.
