Big shout out to Rocky Weeks and Manuel Pellizzari and my dad who have helped me with their insights.

Conclusions: Changing the wire makes the mod 5-7% more efficient in 50W regulated mode. It makes the mod 20% (often more) efficient in Bypass mode. There is less volt drop in 50W mode and Bypass mode, both mesured with voltmeter and on the display of the mod. Using a 21700 4000 mAh battery gives the mod 20%-ish more capacity at the settings tested.

Don't do this at home. If you like to squonk at high Watts, buy a mech!
