Ukraine is set to receive a new batch of Patriot air-defense missiles from European partners as Russian missile and drone strikes continue to target Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. According to SPIEGEL, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius secured around 30 PAC-3 Patriot interceptors from European allies, while Germany will contribute five missiles from its own Bundeswehr stockpiles. The German Defense Ministry confirmed the delivery but declined to provide precise numbers or timing for security reasons. Ukraine has received about 600 Patriot interceptors since Russia’s full-scale invasion, officials told The New York Times. Each interceptor costs more than $3 million and global supplies remain limited, forcing Kyiv to increasingly rely on alternative defenses such as electronic warfare, F-16 rockets and interceptor drones.
