How to download a ValveSight DTM

The purpose of this video is to demonstrate how to download a ValveSight DTM, including the FDT Container and Hart Communications DTM as well as the Logix 3820 Hart communication DTM

• Open a current web browser
• Navigate to www.flowserve.com
• On the main navigation bar, hover over the “more” tab and then over the “Support and Resources” sub menu, then navigate to the “Software Downloads” option and click on it to go to the download software page.
• Navigate to the “Valvesight DTM – Logix” option on the left side of the page and select it to go to the Software download page for Valvesight-DTM.
• Scroll down to ValveSight DTM-Logix and select it.
• If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so. If you are not currently registered, follow the “New User? Register Here.” Prompts to create a login.
• Select FTD Container and HART communication DTM
• If you already have a container software (like FTD, PactWare, etc) you can select directly the DTM for the desired Logix product.
• Click download
• A Zip file is downloaded containing all necessary files for the for the FTD container software.
• Next, be sure to download the individual DTM for your product. For this example we will download the ”Valvesight DTM for Logix 3820 (HART)” package. Note: You may download multiple DTM packages for the various products you will connect to.
• Next, extract the FTD Container files to your local machine. Note: If you encounter an error, you may need to shorten the folder structure name you are extracting to include less than 256 characters.
• Once extracted, navigate the folder structure to Install the downloaded files using the provided setup icon.
• After installing a DTM, you need to update the DTM catalogue in your container software. Note: (some container software will update the catalogue automatically on start)
