Even with the millions of lure options these days, attractor spoons are still one of the most consistent trout baits ever! The Lake Clear Geneva G22 can be added to your list of must haves.

One cool trick is to flip the spoon. The line should be tied to the narrow part of the spoon but to get a few more bites, we often tie to the wide end. This different wobble sometimes makes a big difference in the amount of trout we boat.

Always use a premium ball bearing swivel to avoid line twist. Between the spoon and the hook, use the lightest line you can get away with. Thinner leaders make the bait much livelier and if you snag up, save the spoon simply by snapping the lighter line instead of loosing everything.
Leader lengths will vary but between 12 and 35 inches is a good rule of thumb. Adding a juicy worm, fly or even a soft plastic creature bait to the hook will keep your rod busy.
