Today we’ll discuss a common issue called gallbladder stones.
Most common symptoms are:

When the stone problems become more serious it also increases the pain in the abdomen.
Causes of gallbladder stones:
1) Genetic : Due to genetic disposition certain individuals are more prone.
2) Geographical reasons: South Indians are less prone to gall bladder stones as compared to north Indians
3) Gender : Females are more prone to gallbladder stones as compared to males, because of hormones, during pregnancy the risk of getting gall bladder stones increases. During breast feeding the complications of gall bladder stones increase

How to diagnose:
If someone comes with stomach pain how can we tell if it is gallbladder stones?
1) Most simple test is the ultra sound scan, when done on empty stomach the presence of gallbladder stones is easily detected
2) CT scan or MRI scan : Those with complications such as infection due to gallbladder stones are asked to take these scans, to find out details about the situation.
Treatments:
Gallbladder stones cannot be dissolved with medications. If stones get stuck in the bile duct there are chances of complications occurring.
Laparoscopic surgery by putting small keyholes near the bellybutton, the surgery is done through pipes if the stones are removed, it causes complete cure. Some people used to perform open surgeries for gallbladder stones but now 95% of the operations are done via laparoscopy, which reduces the time of recovery. Thus without complications this is easily cured nowadays
