Inside the New York State Museum in Albany, researchers and archaeologists are reassembling 1,200 pieces of a Revolutionary War gunboat. The ship was discovered in the footprint of the site of the World Trade Center in 2010 during construction of what is now the WTC’s Vehicular Security Center. Its timber was taken to Texas A&M University for preservation. The ship will be the centerpiece of the New York State Museum’s celebration marking America's 250th birthday next year.
