In this episode, I talk through a recording session for a friend’s short film that was unexpectedly paused mid-process for the best reason possible. While we were out capturing sound, his wife went into labor. The film stopped. Life took priority. But the sounds we gathered still had something to say.

I guide you through an abandoned restaurant hotel, complete with a massive water wheel mounted to the side of the building, playing the actual ambient recordings as I describe the space. Back in the studio, things slow down even more: a red satin ribbon softly brushed across the Lewitt 140 microphones, layered with water plant ambience, mixed live and gently as the session unfolds.

This isn’t a performance, and it’s not a traditional ASMR trigger video. KEWL Radio is a late-night, radio-style sound experience with minimal narration, real textures, and calm, intentional mixing.
