In this video, I have reviewed article directory website, EzineArticles and spoken about its relevance (or lack thereof) in 2013 and beyond.

My primary contention would be that this is a site which has little relevance today when already, articles published on the site rank poorly, and on top of that, the site creates numerous impediments in actually publishing articles of publishers.

Further, unlike comparable sites like Squidoo or HubPages, there is no revenue sharing provision on EzineArticles. Instead, the site chooses to capitalize heavily on content posted by users, by filling the entire space available on each article page with ads.

Google's Panda update - and the ensuing algorithmic change dealt a severe blow to EzineArticle's ranking on search engines, largely Google itself and as a result neither do articles published on the site rank well, nor do the back links included within the Resource Box at the end of each article, really have the kind of value which they did in the past.

Keeping these factors in mind, I would suggest, advise and recommend to all Internet marketers, SEO specialists, as well as online businesses to steer clear of EzineArticles when it comes to their online marketing and SEO endeavors. Remember that you will only be wasting your time and effort on a site that:

1. Does not pay you (directly, in terms of revenue sharing) for the articles you publish on the site.

2. Profiteers immensely (largely through advertising) on YOUR content.

3. Creates innumerable stumbling blocks when it comes to getting articles published, by pointing out supposed grammatical and/or spelling issues, when clearly there are no such issues in the content.
