In this short video Scott R. Handy the owner of Mr. Water LLC in Hagerstown, Maryland describes how to properly set the time of day for a Fleck 5600 pin type water softener (with salt tank) control valve - this is also applicable to set the time on a Fleck 5600 EconoMinder metered (commonly called a people wheel) water softener control valve that does not have pins. This method to set the time would also work on all Fleck 5600 backwashing filter valves (no salt tank). He also shows how to properly set the regeneration or backwash schedule by demonstrating how the pins for the timer operate - this would also apply to all Fleck 5600 pin type water softener (with a salt tank) and backwashing water filter (no salt tank) control valves.
