In this video, I give a detailed account of how it's possible that Scarlet was recruited by Primordus to become his champion/lieutenant/general. It's through this perspective that Scarlet's campaign of chaos begins to make sense.

Taking hints from the personal story and living story, as well as other areas, I put together a theory that explains how the leylines of magic around Tyria, combined with Primordus' draconic magic, lead to a dangerous mixture that corrupted Scarlet as she attempted to access the eternal alchemy. Tasked with Primordus' orders (the personal story hints at this), she set out to build the ultimate army of minions for him -- minions that could be born powerful and corrupted.

The toxic hybrid was the first iteration of these minions; now Scarlet will mass produce similar minions, but corrupted by Primordus.
