I flew out to Transylvania to experience Electric Castle and let me tell you, it was NOTHING like a UK festival.

The first big shock? Everything kicks off way later than we’re used to back home. While most UK festivals start buzzing by midday, Electric Castle doesn’t really get going until 4:30 PM, with headline acts often hitting the stage as late as 11:30 at night. But trust me — it’s worth the wait. The vibes after dark are unreal, especially with that epic castle backdrop glowing behind the crowd.

🌙✨ Night festival energy is a whole different beast.

What really stood out though was the cleanliness and the safety across the entire site. From the campsites to the stages, everything felt well-organised, spotless, and chill. No chaos, no dodgy vibes — just a proper friendly crowd and a smooth experience from start to finish.

And let’s talk FOOD.
This wasn’t your standard “chips and a burger van” situation. Electric Castle had four main food courts packed with 40+ vendors, serving up everything from grilled meats and international bites to vegan options and even upscale dinner plates. There was even a Lidl inside the festival grounds for essentials — genius. Honestly, some of the best festival food I’ve ever had.

🔥 From late-night drum & bass to early morning feasting, this festival is one for the bucket list.
