From day one, the Kendall Art Center (KAC) was dedicated to promoting the work of contemporary artists and the exchange of art and ideas throughout the Miami region and internationally. Today, as the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas (MoCA-Americas), it presents a vigorous schedule of exhibitions, programs dedicated to art produced by women, and education at all levels, and has become a solid national and international platform for showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists. One of its fundamental goals is to promote appreciation and understanding of contemporary visual arts in its community.
