The stock of Mahindra and Mahindra rallied to the highest level in over two weeks following a stellar set of numbers in the quarter gone by. The automobile giant reported a better-than-expected bottom line and operational performance, while the revenues came in line with street estimates. 
Management attributed the performance to pent up demand, preference for personal mobility, new launches, and availability of affordable finance key drivers. Not only did the company see the highest ever margins for the farm equipment business, but given the positive outlook in rural & Agri sectors, even the Pick-Up segment, after six quarters of reduction, has shown positive momentum. While they are betting big on the rural uptick, the management flagged-off that turnaround in the urban demand may continue to lag.
