(13 Dec 2015) COLORFUL SANTA CLAUS RUN BRIGHTENS UP CARACAS
Dressed as Santa Claus, fairies, elves and reindeers, hundreds of Venezuelans took the streets of Caracas on Sunday for the colorful Santa Run.
Popular in many countries around the world, the Santa Claus race was organised in Caracas for the first time this year and it was celebrated by people of all ages.
Some runners and walkers wore Santa caps and shorts, while others trotted in green and red tutus.
Participant Claudio Rojas, who ran with a Christmas blanket over his shoulders, said the event was filled with joy and celebration.
The run was organized by Tribu, an organization known for holding thematic races across the country.
Sunday's event included a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) walk and a 7 kilometer (4.3 miles) race.
