VTL TL 6.5 Series II & MB-450 Series III Pre e Finale

VTL è nata nel lontano 1987 dal genio di Luke Manley. L' azienda, che ha fatto sognare intere generazioni di audiofili, annovera adesso ben 3 gamme di prodotti diversi, dall'entry-level Performance, alla mediana Signature, per finire con la Reference. In prova due prodotti della serie Signature di livello Hi-End, il pre TL 6.5 Series II e la coppia di finali mono MB-450 Series III da ben 425W con 8 KT88 l'uno. Una accoppiata, insomma, davvero senza compromessi e per pochi fortunati. Il suono ? La dolcezza delle valvole e quasi tutta la perentorietà di uno stato solido. La quadratura del cerchio, qualcuno dirà, peccato il prezzo, che non è proprio per tutte le tasche, ma le cose belle, si sa, costano!

VTL was born back in 1987 from the genius of Luke Manley. The 'company, which has made entire generations of audiophiles dream, now counts no less than 3 different product ranges, from the entry-level Performance, to the mid-range Signature, and ending with the Reference. On test were two products from the Signature series at the Hi-End level, the TL 6.5 Series II preamplifier and the pair of MB-450 Series III mono power amplifiers rated at an impressive 425W with 8 KT88 each. A pairing, in short, truly uncompromising and for the lucky few. The sound ? The sweetness of tubes and almost all the peremptoriness of a solid state. The squaring of the circle, some will say, pity the price, which is not really for all pockets, but good things, you know, cost!
