This piano wasn't tuned for years. All 88 keys were a complete note under the correct pitch.

A pitch adjustment was necessary for a piano this off. Pitch adjustment, also called "pitch raise," is pulling all 216 strings of the piano up in tension one after another as quickly as possible before doing a regular piano tuning.

After the pitch adjustment, I did a regular piano tuning and went through the piano one more time for fine touch-ups.

After such a major adjustment, your piano will sound great, and you'll actually want to play it again! It is recommended though to come back after the piano has had a chance to settle, around 3-6 months for one more regular tuning. After that, keeping your piano tuning maintained once or twice a year will allow you to continue the sweet music unhindered, and will be best for the instrument.
