Come along on a solo overnight with me. Hiking over the Canadian Shield near Georgian bay. It was a trip full of light drizzle and ice rain. Not much wildlife but the stillness and the quiet was a welcome addition to the landscape along with the ice rain and drizzle coating the the landscape in a foggy icing. The distant trees forgged out and contrasted by the wet dark pine trees that latch onto the rough rocky land. You get lots of variety in these natural scapes this land has to offer. Lush green animal trails through hardwoods. Or in the bogs teeming with tightly growing tag alders. Perfectly flat wide open rock with the odd juniper bush to walk around or through.
