Smudging with Frankincense and Myrrh

In this video I show you how to use natural frankincense and myrrh resin for smudging. Smudging is used in many traditions to clear the energy of your space. Typically when we hear smudging, we think of burning sage, a Native American tradition. But did you know that in Iran Esfand is used to remove the “evil eye” and Christian Orthodox churches burn Frankincense to bless and sanctify?

Frankincense and myrrh are my favorite smudging tools. When I am lazy I will use an incense stick made with natural natural frankincense and myrrh sap, but when I have time, I will smudge using an actual piece of resin. Watch the video to see how:

-Metal tongs
-Charcoal
-Non-flammable container
-Lighter
-Oven mitt
