Elimination of the oil cooler is a fairly simple and inexpensive task. Why remove the oil cooler you ask? This may be desirable to ease oil filter changes on a fully faired R100RS or R80/R100RT as some of these bikes require partial removal of the fairing lower right panel, exhaust and/or engine mounting studs to allow the frame to be spread slightly. In this particular case the entire fairing was eliminated and the cooler is just too damned FUGLY and unnecessary.
